Meet Pastors Mike & Renee Tadlock

My wife Renee and I (Mike) are native Californians who were both raised in Pastor’s homes. Our families served in a variety of capacities all over California and Colorado. We are very thankful for our Godly, Christian upbringing. It has been the solid foundation of our lives, marriage and ministry.

I (Mike) was born in Vallejo, California where I lost my father at six months old. After the tragedy, my mom and I moved to Colorado where she met a young evangelist and was married. I lived in Colorado for four years, but was primarily raised in Southern California. I graduated from Buena Park High School and continued my education at Southern California College. In February 1989 I accepted a position as a volunteer Youth Pastor at New Life Center in Bakersfield, Ca. In 1998 I was hired as a full time staff Pastor overseeing and developing Jr. High, High School and College age ministries.

I’ve known the Lord and followed Him all of my life. Through my own pain and difficulty I have a sensitivity and compassion for those who are hurting and in need of the restoring work of the Holy Spirit. My passion is leading people into a loving relationship with Father God, where they can find identity, purpose and security. My life purpose is to declare the awesome, life giving power of Jesus Christ through worship and the ministry of the word of God to all those I meet. It’s my desire that every man, woman, boy and girl would know their full potential and inheritance through Jesus Christ.

I (Renee) was primarily raised in Bakersfield, Ca., where I attended Bakersfield High School and went on to study at Bakersfield College. I then served on staff at Little Life Preschool as assistant director and preschool teacher before devoting my full attention at home to my husband, two wonderful boys and ministry.

I received the Lord as my savior at a very young age and have always had a passion for sharing Him with others. However, my adolescent years were filled with pain and heartache, in which I ran to the things of the world instead of to God. My brokenness brought me back to the Lord at the age of eighteen and I’ve been wholeheartedly living for Him ever since. As a young adult I surrendered my future plans to God and accepted the call to full time ministry. My life purpose is to love and serve God, my family and others. I am committed to a lifestyle of worship and intercession so that others can experience the power of God’s love just as I have.

In April of 1993 Renee and I (Mike) met while serving in ministry at New Life Center in Bakersfield, Ca. The next several months were spent sharing future life dreams and developing a best friend relationship. In January of 1994 we were married and began our life together in ministry, serving as youth Pastor’s at New Life Center in Bakersfield, Ca. until May of 2000. At that time we took our first senior pastorate in Pine Grove, Ca., a small mountain community. After serving for three years we heard the voice of the Lord saying our time and service was coming to completion and yet another new opportunity lied ahead. Our next assignment brought us here to pastor New Community Church in Fairfield, Ca., June 2003. What an exciting journey it has been to see God accomplishing His will in and through our wonderful church family.
